African Safari

Top destinations for African safari are the Masai Mara in Kenya, the Serengeti in Tanzania, Victoria falls in Zimbabwe, Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Kruger National Park and Cape Town in South Africa are also very popular with tourists.

Masai Mara is the best destination in Kenya for viewing wildlife. The great wildebeest migration occurs here between August and November. Over 2 million wildebeest migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of water and grazing.

You can plan a Masai Mara Safari to coincide with the wildebeest migration. A Masai Mara Safari is also suitable and enjoyable at any time of the year.

The Serengeti has the largest concentration of wildlife in the world and is famous for the wildebeest migration to the Masai Mara.

The Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe is 1708 meters wide. It is the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops about 107m into the Zambezi Gorge at an average rate of 550,000 per minute. The heaviest flow and volume of spray occurs after the rain season in February.

Chobe National Park is famous for having the highest concentration of elephants in Africa. Other wildlife here includes giraffes, elephants, zebras, impalas, tsessebe antelopes, the roan, sable, wildebeests, kudus, buffalos, waterbucks, warthogs, and elands. There are predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, bat-eared foxes, cheetahs and wild dogs.

The Okavango Delta in Botswana is a large wetland surrounded by the Kalahari Desert. The Okavango is suitable for game viewing, fishing, bird watching and photography.
